I've been collecting Tim Hartnell books for a while. He was an Australian journalist, self-taught programmer and extremely prolific, bestselling author of books and magazines on computer games back in the 1980's and early 1990's. He has either written, co-written or edited book for these computers including Microbee, VZ200, VZ300, BBC, Apple, ZX81, IBM, Mac, VIC20, Commodore, Spectrum, MSX, Timex, Dragon and many others.
I have been searching and have found some on the internet in all sorts of forms. Some as complete manuals, some as individual page scans, or individual chapter pdf's, etc etc. Most needed massive cleanups and most not searchable. So all cleaned up, covers added, de-skewed, ocr'ed and converted to searchable PDFs.
I've posted them all starting about 18months ago that I've been able to find and process at archive.org and in the past month or so have added a further 11 books to the collection. In total there are now 39 books. So if you into any of the above computers, check them out at
