How did you get rid of the quotation marks in the command preview line?

RE: UBee512 Launcher UI - ChickenMan - 27-04-2026

Arr, I didnt, see my Command Preview line. What I wanted to get rid of was the '--rom1= bit but couldnt.

I missed the .exe at top left. DOH!

Nice implementation, Anthony. Well done.

@Graham, thanks for posting the image, I think you should be able to fix this by pointing the launcher to your ubee512.exe file. If you use the find button on the right you should be able to dig through your hard drive and find the path. The image @chickenman posted shows this clearly.

I would post a screenshot myself, but unfortunalty I dont know how to get an image into this chat window I've added a screenshot, hopefully it helps.

In a few days, I am happy to film a full walkthrough and post it on youtube so anyone can see how it all works. If one of you says yes, thatss enough motivation for me.

Thank you. It was fun getting it together and its even more satisfying that a couple of other people are trying it out.

I'll work on a mac version as a next spare time project, I dont want to leave anyone out.

and by the way if one of you get the tape files working please let me know, I as yet dont know how to load tapes in ubee, so I also dont know if that part of my launcher is viable or not.

Looking forward to the walkthrough Smile

There is NO /Lib folder in a Windows install of ubee512.

To load in a WAV file, then in the Extra Args type in --tape1=filename.wav, I select a Prem 128k boot disk, then run BASIC.  Type in CLOAD and hit Alt T or Right click to get Console up and select Tape (rew).  Soon the file name appears, wait to load and when the prompt returns type in RUN if a Basic file, most Binary files auto start.

Oh regardless of what Model Preset I choose, it always seams to default to ubee512's default of a P512k.

I'lll have to look into that, becuase I only did a surface test of that function. Same goes for cp/m tools, I dont thik its fully functional on windows right now, although it works nicesly on linux.

Once I get an update I'll post to say so.

I have identified why the launcher is not swithching modes as selected from the drop down menu for different system types.

Its going to be the next thing I attend to when I get the chance.

If users try the launcher and find other issues, please let me know here or post an issue in github so I can keep my eyes on it.

So far I am unable to get cp/m working on Mac. I'd love feedback from any mac users about whether they have it working on their own systems and if so what your set up is.
