Some photos of the inside of the monitor before I started working on it - 

Lots of dirt to clean up - and a scrub of the pcb's with a ESD safe brush.

I think this monitor may have been rescued from the TIP or an eWaste collection centre given the liquid ingress marks on the inside of the case

A good scrub with a non-conductive toothbrush, Kleanium, fiddling with trim pots and a bit of luck and the picture seems to be a little shaky, but 99% better
   

Let's call it a work in progress, this Amber monitor is the same as my childhood Bee, so I couldn't be happier.
