Hi Crud3,
Yes I can confirm that the resistor array should be a 9 resistor network to a common 10th pin.
You will get some strange behaviour if you have a 5 individual resistor network fitted in its place.

Checking the schematics, it has them as a 9 resistor network and not 5 individuals.

This behaviour where the screen fills with 1's what could cause that?
I have checked the keyswitch and it is OK!

Is the 9 resistor network in the right way around. Grab the schematics, I'm sure they can help.

Turns out some of the pads were lifted so I will have to see if it is fixable using bodge wires!
