Hello from the UK! - Cardboard76 - 11-06-2026 Ey up! I'm Cardboard, how's it goin'? I'm a 22 year old autistic retro computer enthusiast furry from North Yorkshire, England, pleased to meet you all! I'm rather curious about the Microbee, and I'd like to try and get my hands on one, even if importing one would be a bit difficult. Ever since I watched the recent video by @LittleCar on YouTube I've become mildly infatuated with the humble M'bee, so hopefully that infatuation stays for a good long while. Anyway, that's all for now. See you all later! PS: my timezone is BST/GMT, so I'll probably be awake while the rest of you all are asleep or busy. RE: Hello from the UK! - ChickenMan - 12-06-2026 Hi Cardboard76 and welcome to the forum ![]() The Microbee never was really sold in England so would be rare to find one locally. Sweden had a lot of Microbees though. Microbees regular appear on ebay.com.au so suggest keep an eye out there or wait for the new Microbee soon to be released. RE: Hello from the UK! - Cardboard76 - 12-06-2026 thanks, ChickenMan. the microbee is indeed rather rare outside of Australia or Sweden, and i think a chap i know from England did get their hands on one, but they had to import it from Down Under, and iirc HRMC had difficulties with identifying the computer's monitor. I believe another new member, OlaHime (a good friend of mine from Poland) is in negotiations with one of their Aussie friends to see if they could get a MB shipped to them, and then to me. unsure whether it'd be an OG Microbee or if it'd have to be a FreeBee clone made from scratch with a PCB from PCBWay or JLPCB or wherever folks get custom PCBs made. i do hope to have some form of fun with the humble 'bee. |
