G'day from Bondi - hippietrail - 23-07-2020 Though I'm old enough to have been around in the MicroBee era I never had the chance to use one. Lately I've been doing some software hacking around a bunch of 8-bit retrocomputer disk image file formats and I finally got around the looking at the MicroBee. I've got some questions about the disk layout and detection and about ROM and/or BIOS disassemblies so with some COVID lockdown time on my hands I thought I may as well sign up (-: So G'day! RE: G'day from Bondi - ChickenMan - 24-07-2020 Hi hippietrail and welcome to the forum ![]() The Microbee's came with 3 basic disk formats, the 5.25" 40 tr were double sided double density, then the first 3.5" was 80 tr single sided, then when the Premium came it went to 80tr double sided. There were few 3rd party formats (Dreamdisk, Beeboard, Peter Broughton, etc) and the very earliest 5.25" disks could also be formatted as Single Density single or double sided, only ever seen 2 of those in the wild. If you have any questions, just ask
