Microbee Backgammon & Galaxy Invasion tapes have been recovered - ChickenMan - 07-04-2021

Another 2 tapes have been recovered from files I've had here for a long time, originally provided by allan, thanks. With better software and techniques, these have now been brought to life.  Both had been originally supplied as 11khz 8bit WAV files that would not load error free.  After resampling at a higher frequency, volume adjustment and a Low filter pass, they now load just fine error free into a PC85.

Microbee Backgammon is a binary file that loads at 900h but once loaded it does not auto start. So type in EXEC and tap Return and your off and running.  Now to work out how to play the actual game.  We have the Mytek Manual for the game, maybe that can help.

Galaxy Invasion is the TRS-80 arcade game to Microbee conversion that run fine on ROM Microbees and does auto start once loaded.

So in the MbeeTech Repo in the Microbee/Software/Tapes/Original folder we placed

backgammon.wav

Oops, I meant to include a file I've had here for a long time.  Thanks to aspico for making this tape available to be recorded, done at 44kh and saved as a 16bit WAV file originally.  After some manual cleanup, an error free loading tape resulted.

Numbers Game is written by Alan Goodison and  is a menu driven educational program with Multiplication & Division tables also with Addition and Subtraction facts.
