Question about the repository. - CheshireNoir - 26-07-2021 Hey Folks, Possibly a dumb question here: In the repository, is there any way of easily finding tape games? They all seem to be in disk format. Unfortunately I don't have a disk based Microbee, so I need to rely on WAV files, presumably. (I assume there's no "Dandanator" type device for the 'bee?) (Is there a Disk drive that can plug into, say, the 50 way connector on a series 2? Better yet, is there a modern replacement available?) Cheers! Chesh RE: Question about the repository. - someone - 26-07-2021 After logging into the repository: The microbee tape path is as follows: Repository / [*]MbeeTech / [*]Microbee / [*]Software / [*]Tapes / [*]Original / RE: Question about the repository. - CheshireNoir - 28-07-2021 Thank you. Someone helped me with the problem I had. If you have access to a EPROM burner, in your Series 2 bee you can replace the Wordbee ROM with a game eprom for almost instant game assess. See here for more info - Some new Game ROMS for Series 2, 3 & PC85 Microbees (microbeetechnology.com.au) The game needs to be 8k or less to fit to a 2764 eprom. I can burn you one if you wish, just let me know which one. RE: Question about the repository. - CheshireNoir - 29-07-2021 Thanks for that. I'm happy to burn my own EPROMS, so I'll play around with tape images for a bit. With respect to the Floppy Controller, are they documented well enough that a reverse engineering could happen? I'm happy to take a schematic and plug it into KiCAD. RE: Question about the repository. - ChickenMan - 29-07-2021 Okay sounds good, we have the schematics and even original PCB artwork in the repository, so check that out. |
