My Microbee stash - matth - 10-08-2021 Hi, As a kid I was an avid Microbee hacker ... which turned into an international career. 30+ years later I still have all my Microbee stuff in the garage and the wife has told me to "do something with it". Now I have so many projects going on that I probably wont have time to get these up and running again so I was thinking of either 1. Selling them on Ebay or 2. Giving them to somewhere like the computer history museum. No idea what they are worth. I have probably about 3 or 4 SRAM machines and one specially modified 512k DRAM machine (bank switching) + custom disk based system that includes an external disk controller and 5-1/4" floppy drives. Add to that a selection of spare core boards. I have to open more boxes to be precise. Don't appear to have the monitor anymore - that disappear somewhere during my 30+ years of moving around the world. I probably have a selection is disks/software somewhere. Thoughts and suggestions ? Matt RE: My Microbee stash - ChickenMan - 10-08-2021 Firstly, welcome to the forum ![]() There are a couple Microbees on eBay at the moment so that should give you an idea of what they are worth, and check out the Completed ones as well. Microbee Technology is also missing a couple versions of bees so contact ejwords (Ewan) here. The 512k upgrade was a common upgrade for many back in the day, it all depended on the RAM prices at the time if you did it or not. I personally have one also, a great unit. As you can see we here are particularly interest in trying to archive everything Microbee and other Australian made vintage computers. So if we could borrow any software or documentation, be it tape, floppies or ROMs, for archive it, that would be awesome as we simple dont have it all unfortunately. Thanks.
