MAME - Microbee Emulator - snake - 26-09-2021

Is anyone running the Microbee Emulator under MAME?

RE: MAME - Microbee Emulator - ChickenMan - 27-09-2021

Yes, but I run MAMEMUI version.

RE: MAME - Microbee Emulator - snake - 27-09-2021

I'm trying to get it running on a Mac, no idea how to load a disk or just an app.

Has anyone got it going on the MiSTer FPGA or Raspberry Pi?

Raspberry Pi is probably the easiest solution.

Assuming you can install MAMEUI on the Mac or a Windows emulator, then you get

On the far left column, select Computer, then under Machine select the Microbee or what ever.  I've selected the Microbee 64k (CIAB). In the next column at the top select Media View and then in FloppyDsk1 browse to the disk image you want to boot.  Assuming you have the Microbee Roms in the MameUI/ROMS folder then just double click on the Microbee 64 (or whatever you selected) and follow the prompts and the disk then boots up.

When I click on the image it says.

"You do not have permission to access this page"

Sorry but some members have probs and some not, but if you actually log out and then view the thread, the image then seams to be accessible full size to everyone.

I can read it when I log out - weird!

Hi CM,

I have that permissions problem too but I was unaware that there was a workaround. Excellent!

Cheers, Graeme

And I thought I was the only one with these permission issues.

MAMEUI only runs on Windows 7 and above. It doesn't run on a Mac.

You'll have to find a Mac build somewhere, and you might want a suitable frontend too, although I don't know of any for the Mac. I'm sure there's some around though.

Hi, I recognise that this is a very old thread, but I spent hours today trying to get an emulator running with no luck.

I have MAMEUI going, no problems. I guess my issue is, I can't find ROMS for any of the microbee machines, anywhere.
So it doesn't matter which emulator environment I download, I'm screwed! because the ROM folder is always empty.
So my question is: Where can I actually find ROMS for a couple of different Microbee machines?   Not games or applications.... just the actual emulated machines?
I looked all through the mspp thing, it was no help.

Sorry if I've used the wrong language here, I'm obviously kind of new to it.

Cheerio and thanks for any help.
