Another Text Adventure disk #34 for the Microbee - ChickenMan - 17-12-2021 Yes, they just keep coming, while we already have a huge collection of Text Adventures for the Microbee, you can never have enough. Some of these Text Adventures were originally written for the Spectrum and had been converted to run under CP/M 2.2 or 3 on the Amstrad CPC models. Also, some of the games are in Inform Z3 format, so no mods are needed and they just run with the Scott Adams Z3 DAT Microbee loader. So another 8 Text Adventure games have been added to a modified EASY MENU from Microbee (M.COM) for easy selection of these disks. The menu used on the disk is NOT compatible with a CIAB, but the adventures can run from the A> or B> prompt. The disk is a SS80 3.5" floppy so CIAB, 128k & 256TC friendly. Put in a request via the forum if a 5.25" floppy is needed on this or any other disk. The Queen's Footsteps and Silk Dust were written by Davide Buchi in 2019 to 2021, so good to see some games are still being written to run under CP/M. Theme Park was written by Jack A. Lockerby in 1993 and converted to run on the Amstrad CP/M by John Wilson. Unfortunately John Wilson passed away earlier this year so his conversions and new adventures have come to an end. The games on Adventure #34 are : 1. The Queens Footsteps - Part 1 2. The Queens Footsteps - Part 2 3. The Queens Footsteps - Part 3 & 4 4. Silk Dust - Part 1 5. Silk Dust - Part 2 6. Silk Dust - Part 3 & 4 7. Theme Park U.K. 8. Theme Park USA You can SAVE to disk your position at any time and LOAD back in the next time you run the game. You can also use UPPER or lower case. You can exit all of the Adventures with BYE, Q or QUIT, followed by a Y and a N and you will be returned to the Menu. However, you MUST re-boot the disk to be able to run another game. A Walkthrough for all except Silk Dust are also included on the disk. View ONLY if you really get stuck, use BISHOW (F forward, B backwards) or Transfer to view them. They have not been fully checked and all came from http://solutionarchive.com. So in the MbeeTech Repository in the Microbee/Software/Games/Adventure folder we placed :- adventure_34_ss80.dsk |
