PC 85 Low profile ROM adapter working! - CheshireNoir - 06-08-2022 So I did a new version of my BeeMultiROM project in KiCAD. This version uses turned pins (I just harvest them from turned pin sockets. I have a lot of them I got from AliExpress, but I've now moved to using dual wipe sockets instead) I updated the Github with the latest files. I'm currently just using a BCD wheel that comes out the back. Before anyone asks, I have no plans at this point to add a fancier way of controlling the image. I'm still feeling my way slowly forward with microcontrollers , and fitting in a microcontroller AND a ROM inside is gonna be a real challenge. These are CC SA BY so feel free to steal and remix, folks! RE: PC 85 Low profile ROM adapter working! - someone - 06-08-2022 Yay! Yay! RE: PC 85 Low profile ROM adapter working! - MikeCornflake - 07-08-2022 Nice one John! Are you using the BCD dial to dynamically switch the ROMs? Or does the Bee need to be powered down between dials? Medium term, I'll order one of these: https://au.mouser.com/ProductDetail/Apem/SMCD301AK2?qs=CEgwk4KjYmrJr%2FIvQR%252BuOw%3D%3D as that'll give me the full 16 positions. John |
