Speedon Instructions for the System 80 & TRS-80 - ChickenMan - 08-10-2022
Thanks to GeorgeK for providing a scan of this document. A4 in size and 7 pages long. After a bit of cleanup it was converted to a searchable PDF as usual.
SPEEDON was an addon board for either the System 80 or TRS-80 Model 1 to speed it up from the standard 1.77 MHz to either 2.66 MHz, 3.54 MHz or 5.32 MHz depending on the Z80 variety you have fitted. Higher speeds will need a Z80A or Z80B to be stable. Instructions are for both the System 80 as well as the TRS-80 Model I.
Hand drawn schematics are also included.
