On pages 8-12 through 8-13 is missing the Boot ROM call E015 RD_SERB.
Here is the missing text which fits in between 8.4.7. & 8.4.8. :

Read a DGOS type block into memory from cassette where
b=length of block, hl=load addr, de=total length - aborts
DIRECTLY to the monitor if there is an error
(unless the DF07 IGNORE TAPE CHECKSUM FLAG byte is set).
