Fitting a Gotek Floppy Emulator to your Microbee Procedure - ChickenMan - 07-01-2020

The procedure on how to setup a Gotek unit for your Microbee together with links to all the free software needed has been updated.

The document describes the procedure to flash the Gotek for it to boot Microbee DSK disk images, how to change the 3 digit screen to an OLED screen that allows you to read the images name and how to add a small speaker to the Gotek to simulate the sound of a disk drive.  Though nothing will ever compare to the sound of a Chook-In-A-Book Microbee floppy drive !  The last 2 are optional.

So, we placed in the Microbee\Documentation\Articles\Technical folder the following

I've updated the procedure yet again.  With the latest FlashFloppy firmware, currently version 2.14, there is no need to add the AUTOBOOT.HFE file to the USB Flash drive, just add your *.DSK files.  I've also included the fitting of a Rotary Encoder that makes life so much easier changing the image you wish to boot rather than use the 2 buttons.  I have done this now to all my Gotek's.

So, the updated version was placed in the MbeeTech repository in the Microbee\Documentation\Articles\Technical folder
