SLICK! disk and manual for the Microbee - ChickenMan - 09-08-2023 From my recent purchase of Microbee material there was an original disk of SLICK! and its manuals. The disk was a standard Microbee 5.25" DS40 disk that was autobooting and with no copy protection. The disk imaged 100% error free on a Floppyio. The manuals consisted of Teachers Notes and Briefing Sheets. Both were A5 in size and both 10 pages long. The pages of the Briefing Sheets were actually A4 in size but as foldout pages. The original copyright of Slick! is held by BP Educational Services, London. This Microbee version was developed by the Schools Computing Branch of the Education Department of Western Australia in 1986. The main objective of Slick is to focus attention on the impact of technology on society through a case study of oil pollution around coastlines, and to investigate the modern means available to protect the environment. So in the MbeeTech Repository in the Microbee\Software\Education folder we placed slick_ds40.dsk slick_teachers_notes.pdf <--- both in Documentation\Manuals\Education folder slick_briefing_sheets.pdf slick.jpg <--- in Documentation\Pictures\Disks\5.25in folder |
