Greetings from Portugal - Iapetus - 06-01-2024

Hi, I am Iapetus Smile and I am programming a game for several retro computers and I would like to code a version of the game for the Microbee.

You can check out the WIP versions I have started to work on:

Thomson MO5(6809):

In my channel you can find also a version of the ZX SPECTRUM(z80) and for the Acorn Electron 32k(6502).

Hi Iapetus and welcome to the forum Smile

Would be great to see a game like that for the Microbee. If you already have a Spectrum version, it shouldnt be to hard to convert to the Microbee.

Thank you for welcoming me. Yes, I have a ZX spectrum wip version so I gues it will be easy. I just need to know some things about the hardware, I have read about the gfraphic capabilities and it is quite straight forward but I need to know about other things, for instance interrupts, reading the keyboard etc. I will be coding in 100% Z80 machine code.

Ah! That's the microbee adventure!
  • The keyboard hardware is between the Alpha and Telecomputer models. They can be read through an API but performance may be impacted.
  • Interrupts - The story is interesting.

Enjoy!
