Dick Smith Technical Manual for the Sorcerer Mk2 & Tech Bulletin #34 - ChickenMan - 12-05-2024

Thanks to Ian Mavric for making these available to be scanned. Scanned at 300dpi and converted to searchable PDF's as usual. Both are A4 in size and 54 and 1 page long respectively.

The Technical Manual for the Sorcerer Mk2 is the same as produced by Exidy but released by Dick Smith, reprinted in 1980 with Exidy's permission. The only differences are the front cover and the copyright page replaced with this at the bottom of the Contents page.-

Reprinted in 1980 for Dick Smith Electronics, Sydney, Australia by permission of the
copyright holder, Exidy Incorporated of Sunnyvale, California USA.

There is a copy of this manual in the TOSEC collection at archive.com, however, it has the front cover and then starts at page 17.  So to made it easy for me I just scanned the first 16 pages and used the rest from the TOSEC file.

The Technical Bulletin No. 34 covers using the X-3252 Seiko Printer with the Sorcerer.

The X-3252 economy dot-matrix printer is fitted with a
Centronics-type parallel data interface, and is therefore
nominally compatible with the Sorcerer computer (as well as
with the System-80, TRS-80, etc). However, connecting the two
presents a minor problem in that the Sorcerer's parallel port
provides only the seven less significant data bits, while the
X-3252 printer requires all eight bits to be defined.

So in the Vintage Repository in the Exidy_Sorcerer\Manuals folder we placed
