DATBAS Manual and program listings - ChickenMan - 07-08-2024 Thanks to MbeeTech for making this manual and its listing available to be scanned. The manual was A4 in size and 10 pages long. The program listings for the normal and network versions are both 4 pages long. DATBAS was written by Peter Baldwin (from the Bankstown Technical College) in 1983. The program was updated for Network use in April 1985 and Print/Quit sections revision by B.McK in May 1985. The program is on Education_07_ds80.dsk disk and also as a ROM in the ROMs/DataBase folder. DATBAS will allow you to create an organised data-base - HOW you organise it is up to you. You have a completely free hand as to how you organise it, except that you are limited to a maximum of 10 fields, each field being restricted to a maximum of 30 characters. You are also, of course, limited by the amount of memory you have available. The manual is an early version of the Manual and the text is similar to our current version of the manual (data_base_manual.pdf) in the Repository which has many sections expanded compared to this version. I have not converted the Network version listing to a working program, but if anyone else does, please let us know. So in the MbeeTech Repository in the Documentation/Manuals/Software folder we placed datbas_manual_early_version.pdf datbas_listing.pdf <-- both in the new Documentation/Program_Listings folder datbas_network_version_listing.pdf |
