INIT v3.02e for the Microbee Matilda (640TC) - ChickenMan - 16-06-2025

Thanks to MbeeTech for making this file available that was found on a DS80 Microbee disk that imaged 100% error free.

The Matilda when run in Microbee emulation mode, simulates a 256TC Microbee.  Unfortunately, ubee512 emulator doesn't emulate the Matilda, but if you try running it in 256TC mode, this file partly displays a screen and then hangs, see pic.  The version 3.03 of the same which we currently have in the Repository comes up with a message if run in 256TC mode saying "... only runs under the Microbee 640TC emulation software, ver 1.2 or higher".

The file is © 1987-90 Microcorp Pry Ltd.  Rename the file to init302.com before trying to run/use it.

So in the MbeeTech Repository in the Microbee\Software\System_Files\Init folder we placed

init_3d80_v3.02_matilda.com

For those that are interested, Microcorp Pty Ltd was the last entity that Microbee traded under prior to closing the doors in 1992 (or thereabouts).
Microcorp Pty Ltd (trading as Microbee Technology Centres) was owned by Joe & Serfino DeSimone.
Thankfully, Joe & Serafino warehoused a whole load of stock, and I.P. , source code etc. - as much of the company that could be stored.
Without that foresight and caring, Microbee Technology would not exist today.
