Thanks to Scott Julian via archive.org for making this 2nd edition of Bumper Book Of Programs available. It was all cleaned up and converted to a searchable PDF as normal. A4 in size and 98 pages long.
Your Computer began publishing readers' programs in a special feature called
Pocket Programs back in December 1982. But, as popular as they were, by mid-1984
we felt we could better inform our readers and help them learn by publishing
programs with detailed explanations and programming hints and tips, and
background articles.
It has program listing for most of the popular micro-computer of the day including a MICROBEE section (starting page 51) that had these program listings :
CONVERTER by G. Halliday
FROGS LEGS by G. Heathcote
MAZE SEARCH by F. Gonzalez
MAZE RACER by F. Gonzalez
HORSE RACE by S. Machin
PICK A CARD by A. Birmingham
There was also a section called BASIC that also contained some Microbee programs :
INVOICE by Richard Larkin
PROCAT by Richard Larkin
CURSOR.ONE by Richard Larkin
I'm also sure some of the other programs listed for the Apple, Amstrad, Commodore, BBC, TRS-80, VZ200/300, Sharp or Sord computers could be easily converted to run on the Microbee as well. Let us know if you converted any
There is also an extensive list of User Groups at the time, including lots of Microbee ones.
We already have 2 other editions of Your Computer Bumper Book Of Programs and these have been renamed to include their year of publication.
So in the MbeeTech Repository in the Microbee/Documentation/Books folder we added
your_computer_bumper_book_of_programs_1986.pdf
