Visited Ewan at Microbee Technology last Friday with the Applix. The power supply was not producing 12v, so that was replaced. After a lot of re-seating the cards and cpu, we eventually go an image to the screen 
It works However, soon after smoke escaped from one of the floppies and even later smoke came out of the very noisy scsi HD 
It did actually boot from the HD once, but the screen changes from a 15khz to 18khz so we never saw anything to the screen. Its now home, have re-seated all the chips, cleaned up the pcb and replaced the 2 floppies with modern units. I searched through my old HD box, and not a Scsi HD to be found, all IDE, so if anyone has an old scsi 50pin HD of about 40mb or more, I'd be very interested.
