The USB stick was in fact just FAT, not FAT32... And it didn't make a difference when I reformatted it. I didn't expect it to, because as long as the GOTEK can read the USB, then the file format shouldn't matter. But anyway, it's now FAT32.
I think the problem is that no, I'm not running BN60... I came with a BN56. I have an eprom burner so as long as I can find the image, I can burn myself a copy. What did it have in it that was needed to make worth with Goteks?
I'm loathe to pull the disk box apart for the fifth time to see what the jumpers are, but I'm prettu sure the Gotek is S0, and I'm using the standard ribbon cable that was in the drive box. They are nothing but simple straight through connections.
