From my recent purchase of Microbee material there was an original disk of Dynamic Compositor. The disk was a standard Microbee 5.25" DS40 disk thats auto-booting and with no copy protection. The disk imaged 100% error free on a Floppyio.
Dynamic Compositor is © to G Preston in 1984 and distributed via Goodison Software. It can print out fancy banners/headings etc on either a serial or parallel printer attached to your Microbee. We already have this program in our repository (goodison_words_ss80.dsk) but this is an original disk that has further files. You have a choice of 5 different fonts to select from and they show on screen as you type. The fonts are Countdown, Data 70, Embossed, Old English & Outline and look like -
Also on the disk are two cassette tape versions that contain the font data within the program. Version 1 only has 2 fonts available, Old English and Data 70, while version 2 only has Countdown and Embossed font available. This keeps the file size at 12k so each can run on a 16k Microbee.
So in the MbeeTech Repository in the Microbee\Software\Education folder we placed
goodison_dynamic_compositor_ds40.dsk
goodison_dynamic_compositor.jpg <--- in Documentation\Pictures\Disks\5.25in folder
