Interesting! Are the ICs new-old-stock? 

In regards to the new models coming out, they are designed with actively manufactured parts with the exception of :
* Z80 CPU (Z84C0010PEG) & PIO (Z84C2010PEG) - these have only just gone obsolete, with plenty of recent date code parts still available
* The floppy disk controller (this is an optional part of the build, with normal disk access through floppy drive emulation with files on the SDcard)
* The MC68SZ328 (68000 processor)
