I don't think the FDD controller is fitted (I haven't looked, but it was only ever set up with cassette, so I assume the controller was an option).
The SD card attachment sounds excellent-I will definitely look into that.
I remember trying to talk my brother into getting a Microbee, but I'm glad he didn't, because now I have two different micros!
