Thanks to ejwords for making these available to be scanned. Both books were A4 in size and 68 & 56 pages long respectively.
"Developing a School Computer Policy" was published by PRIMUG in June 1986.
It has been one of the major objective's of PRIMUG
to help as many institutions and teachers with
problems encountered when venturing into the new
would of Computer Education. PRIMUG is delighted
to be able to present this publication thus
achieving the above objective.
The compilation of a Computers Policy can be a very
time-consuming task, so, rather than re-inventing
the wheel, we present you with a selection of
policies containing interesting and educational
ideas.
"PART OF THE FURNITURE" Computers in Primary Schools was edited by Helen Richards and produced by Northern Districts Education Centre, NSW in September 1984.
This book includes a report on the benefits of
computer use as a word processor for conference
writing. Staff development in this area also
receives attention. A clearer perspective is
emerging for some teachers in introducing the
computers in infants classes. Helen Richards
addresses the questions to be answered in
deciding on the benefits of networking
computers in the primary school and Colleen
Henderson describes the introduction of
computers in a small school.
The Microbee is discussed throughout these books and all the pictures within both of these books are of Microbees being used in the classroom. Both make for good reading of the start of computers being used in Primary schools back in the 80's.
Computer Programs for Infants
Computers in the Infants Classroom
