I'm amused at the vast number of "CGA to VGA" adapter solutions suddenly coming out of the woodwork.
There's the Gonbes based one in this thread. There's the Raspberry Pi Zero one (See https://youtu.be/UBbkzDF0aWU?t=422 for a good overview. Available here: https://github.com/hoglet67/RGBtoHDMI/ . (I have it plugged into my 15KHz monitor so I don't need to do any additional steps to the VGA signal to bring it up to a better refresh rate)
