CARESOFT Leap Frog Manual + Cards + Tape

Thanks to ejwords for making this manual available to be scanned. A5 in size and 32 pages long with 16 Leap Frog WordBee Cards.

Leap Frog, from the C.A.R.E. Project Team, effectively combines the use of a game and text exercises & is offered as a word-processing starter kit, using Wordbee, to develop keyboard skills in a delightful & structured way.

The package has a very specific focus. It seeks to capture the motivational force of the computer directing the excitement and interest into a structured and meaningful learning experience. "LEAPFROG" does this very well indeed by its joint use of a game and a set of exercises.

Unfortunately the game program did not come with the manual, however, the set of exercises as set out in the both the Manual and the set of Cards can be used with the WordBee package that comes with every Microbee.

So in the MbeeTech Repository in the Microbee\Documentation\Manuals\Education folder we placed

Thanks to vivid for providing recordings of the Leapfrog Game tape as well as its 2 Wordbee Tutorial tapes as well as scans of their cassette artwork.  Originally recoded at 44khz as a 16bit WAV.  Recordings were clean and required no filtering to get an error free load into a PC85.

As described above, the games looks interesting and starts with

   

The 2 Tutorial files can be loaded directly in Wordbee as per Page 10 of the manual, however, the file names are TFROG1 and TFROG2 rather than FROG1 & FROG2 as printed in the manual.

The ZIP files also contains the MWB file as well as Wordbee text files.

So in the MbeeTech Repository in the Microbee/Software/Tapes/Original folder we placed
