The Dick Smith System 80 Technical Manual Issue 2 is dated April 1981, and features the initial System 80 model plus the next model with Cassette Volume control and the Blue Label Model . The Manual is now 72 pages long. Two copies were forwarded for scanning, both appear to be identical inside, but differs with the picture on the front cover. Issue 2a has the original System 80 as per Issue 1, while Issue 2b has the next model with Cassette Volume control. So both made available.
The Dick Smith System 80 Technical Manual Issue 3 is dated October 1982, and features all System 80 models up to and including the Mark II model. The Manual is 65 pages long. The Schematics now fold out and are now A3 in size while the Board Layouts are A4 in size, a total of 36 pages and all scanned at 600dpi. These are presented in a separate file for ease of use.
The two Service Manuals are for the Video Genie and by EACA (the manufacturer of the System 80) and believed sold by Dick Smith in this form and not under the System 80 name. Much of their contents are similar/same as whats in the Technical Manuals. They are dated 1980 and 1982 with the latter having up to the Mark 2 model.
So in the Vintage Repository we placed the following in the System-80\Documentation\Manuals folder, replacing the current Tech manuals 2 & 3 versions we have for quality reasons :-
