Thanks to exidyboy for supplying scans of Classic Computers newsletter and a support letter. It was a single issue only, which was confirmed by the author Nickolas Marentes, and released in June 1994. The main subject of the 8 page newsletter was the Microbee and I like the statement Nick made :-
The MicroBee is probably Australia's
most significant contribution to the
computer industry in terms of design
and manufacture being of totally
original and unique design.
Thanks to Nickolas Marentes for supplying scans of his earlier Newsletter called The Fun Division Newsletter, with Issue 1 released September 1984. This was followed by 3 other issues only and ranging in size from 8 to 12 pages. Nick was the author of a number of games for the TRS-80 Model 1/3 back in the 1980's with his game of Donut Dilemma being converted to run on the Microbee in recent years by tcdev. Fun Division was the name of Nick's company he setup in Oct 1983 at the age of 20.
Some of the subjects in these newsletters all relating to TRS-80 Model 1/3 & System 80 include
Video Game Design
Crash Coarse in Z80 Assembly Language
Software Reviews
Basic: A Post-Mortem
and much more.
So in the Public Repository in the Newsletters\Classic_Computers_&_Fun_Division folder we placed
classic_computers_issue_01_r.pdf
classic_computers_letter_r.pdf
fun_division_newsletter_1.pdf
fun_division_newsletter_2.pdf
fun_division_newsletter_3.pdf
fun_division_newsletter_4.pdf
