I was curious where the microbee stored its colour address, so went on a hunt. its same as poke 646,? on commodore64.. much faster then color ??

When you use the color /colour /colourb / colorb commands- actually the same speed as using POKE as the BASIC interpreter resolves it immediately to the actual POKE command. Its an interesting quirk in how microworld BASIC was developed.

I was curious where the microbee stored its colour address, so went on a hunt. its same as poke 646,? on commodore64.. much faster then color ??   (maybe it is ubee but using poke 100+58,2 and color 1+1 seems to be slightly different on a stopwatch. and poke 100+58 stops the interpreter changing the command back to color) run it through a simple loop. for i=1 to 1000: poke 100+58,2 vs color 1+1: next i
