The Research Logo ver 1.2 came from a recent purchase and thanks to magnut for making the v1.0a disk available to be imaged. Both were bootable standard Microbee 40 track 5.25" disk that after a thorough clean read 100% error free.
LOGO was originally developed as a computer language for
children. It provides, in a concrete way, a learning environment
in which children can explore a wide range of concepts and, at
the same time, discover how a computer works.
The Research Logo ver 1.2 is a later update of versions that we already have in the Repository and will auto detect if running on a Standard or Premium Microbee. Other new features in this version include:-
1. ^G interrupts all commands, even user input.
2. On-line file based help system added.
3. Printouts flushes printer buffer to ensure all output is printed.
4."wait" message removed from "E" compilation option.
5. pen, setxy, setpos, setx, sety, pos now take into account scrunch.
6. '?' prompts closer together.
7. remainder and product implemented.
8. Startup file.
The Help files (*.HLP) as well as the Read.me file can be read off line using Transfer.
The other disk contains both Research Logo ver 1.0a and 1.0a+ on the one disk, both of which we already have on individual disks but not as a combination. The 1.0a+ is for the Premium while the 1.0a is for standard Microbees.
For full instruction and examples on the use of this version of Logo, please refer to the research_logo_manual.pdf that is also in the repository. The disk cover was also scanned and included here.
So in the MbeeTech Repository in the Microbee\Software\Education folder we placed
research_logo_1.2_ds40.dsk
research_logo_1.0a_&_1.0a+.dsk
research_logo_t2.jpg <-- in the Microbee\Documentation\Pictures\Disks\5.25_inch folder
