Thanks to magnut for supplying a recording of this original tape. Tape was recorded at 44.1khz and supplied as a mono 16 bit WAV file. The tape contained no copy protection and just needed cleaning with noise removal so they can load error free into ubee512 as a IC or PC85 Microbee.
This tape contained 7 simple programs and each were then separated out as an individual file. All were written in Assembler with no graphics and all are less than 1kb long. Reset needs to be used to exit all the programs.
Dice, will produce a random roll of the dice number either from one or a pair of dice.
Number is a simple guessing game where you have to guess a number between 1 and 99 in the least number of turns.
Cards is a simple game where you pick a card and the computer tries to guess it.
Roulette is a simple game of Russian Roulette where you have 1 bullet, 6 chambers and 9 spins. Can you survive?
Hit the Hurkle is a game where you try to aim and hit the hurkle.
Cricket is a game of Cricket were you have won the toss and bat first.
Small Nim is the game of Nim were you have to take 1, 2 or 3 and leave 1 to win.
The WAV files were later down sampled to 16kHz and saved as 8bit WAV files to reduce their size considerably but retain error free loading. They were also saved as *.BEE files for running from a disk and are included in the zip file also.
So in the MbeeTech repository in the Microbee\Software\Tapes\Original folder we placed
Dice-Number-Cards-Roulette-HitHurkle-Cricket-SmlNim.zip which contains :
cards.wav + cards.bee
cricket.wav + cricket.bee
dice.wav + dice.bee
hit_the_hurkle.wav + hurkle.bee
nim.wav + nim.bee
number.wav + number.bee
russian_roulette.wav + roulette.bee
