Thanks to Amy for making this disk available to be imaged. A standard 3.5" SS80 bootable disk that imaged error free.
Carpe Debtors was written and marketed by Carpe Office Systems Pty. Ltd., Sydney and this is a fully functional Demonstration version 3.1. This is one part of Carpe Accounting which consists of General Ledger, Debtors, Invoicing/Stock and Creditors, an integrated accounting system for the small to medium size business. RRP in Oct 1983 was $1,200. There was another disk from Amy labelled Carpe Stock but unfortunately it just a formatted disk with no files.
An internet search provided very little information and no manual, but for one News announcement in APC Magazine, which is included here also. There is, however, quite a good review in Microbee's Online #15 Magazine.
After you enter the date, the program starts with this Menu :
The only install program is to tell it what Printer you have attached, with a Microbee (Dot Matrix) printer listed. The program only runs on a 2 Disk system with A: drive full of the program files and B: is where the Data is stored. So a Data disks is also provided that the program has already setup. The program runs on a CIAB and a 128k Microbee with 2 x 3.5" drives, but let me know if anyone wants it on 5.25" disks.
So in the MbeeTech Repository in the Microbee\Software\Applications\Accounting folder we placed
