Thanks to bushy555 for making a scan of this manual available. Approx A5 in size and 32 pages long.
The GP-100 is a dot matrix printer (uni-hammer) with a character matrix of 5 x 7 dots. Its main features are :
• Double width character output under software control.
• Graphics capability (picture and graph output capabilities).
• In the graphic mode, a graphic data pattern can be repeated as many times as you want with a single command.
• Print position addressable by character or dot column (positioning control).
• Graphic, character, and double width character modes can be intermixed on a single line.
• Automatic Printing. When the text exceeds the maximum line length no data is lost due to overflow.
• Self-test printing is available.
• Parallel interface is Centronics type.
The printer was sold by Dick Smith as a monochrome general purpose Graphics printer back in the early 80's. Primerily focussed for both the Exidy Sorcerer and the System 80, but also for any other computer (Microbee included) that uses the Centronics parallel interface. It features 4 different fonts, for USA, UK, Germany and Sweden and also has a self test mode.
So in the Vintage Repository in the Manuals section of both System 80 and Exidy Sorcerer (existing file updated) we placed
