Hi,
I am looking for a CP/M 56k 2.2 boot disk. The one I have booted once and now gives a disk read error.
A little bit to indroduce myself.
I began my career in It with Applied Technology in West Gosford working on the production line repairing the Microbee mother boards and memory daughter boards as they came of the wave soldering station. From there I began converting Tempest B/W TVs to be composite monitors before the introduction of the Microbee monitor. While working in Gosfor I also worked on the design of the 5 1/4 floppy disk cabinet and the layout of same. I then went down to Pattison Ave Waitara and worked in sales for a while with Sally Murdock and "Mrs Mac" prior to taking on the task of porting the Sybiz Accounting software package to work on the Microbee 56k CP/M computer. I also developed the FASTCOPY program with Matthew Starr ostensibly to make it easier to create the master boot disks for supply with the 56k systems. Another program I worked on was the ScreenPrint program (which was a terminate and stay resident patch to the last 72 bytes of the microbee memory before the rom) developed specifically for the Facit range of Dot Matrix printers.
The Microbee I now have was sold by me to a University Physics lecturer in Canterbury University Christchurch NZ who has recently passed away and I was left his Microbee in his will.
I have repaired the power supply in the Hard Drive box and all the hardware is performing fine with the exception of a couple o keys.
I would dearly love to get the system booting again with CP/M 2.2 as this appears to be the only way of having it operate.
Tony Edward
