From my recent purchase of Microbee material, there was also a small but not complete collection of THE BEE NEWS newsletters from the Brisbane Microbee Users Group. A number of them were in A5 format and small print, so scanned at 600dpi before converting to searchable PDF's as usual.
Their first few years of newsletters were just called BMUG Newsletter and in A5 format. They then switched to A4 format and now called THE BEE-NEWS at the start of Season 2, August 1987. Then as Season 3 came, July-August 1989, they switched back to A5 format and continued with that format in Season 4. Their last edition was Vol4 05 September 1990 before they switched to the Australia wide PROMPT newsletter. From Season 3 and onwards they appeared to be issued bi-monthly.
Like all the newsletters from all the Microbee user groups, these are full of Whats new, Tips, Tricks, Hardware updates, Tutorials, Program & Book reviews, program Listings and much much more. Most of the clubs appeared to swap Newsletters with one another and they regularly reviewed the top articles from each in their own Newsletter. So all worth a great read for all Microbee users and collectors.
Our Bee News collection is far from complete, particularly the early editions, so if anyone can help with any missing issues, please get in contact with us. Remember, we can do the scanning if you cant nor have the time.
So in the Public Repository in the Newsletters\Bee_News folder we placed
