From my recent purchase of Microbee material there was an original Bunyip Adventure disk together with a number of brochures. The disk was a standard Microbee 5.25" DS40 that was not bootable nor copy protected, so put your system track (sysgen or Init) on the disk or run from drive B:. The disk imaged 100% error free using a Floppyio.
Bunyip Adventure was written by Ross Williams in 1984 for Grotnik Software, South Australia. We already have the game on one of our multi adventure games disk (adventure_4_ds80.dsk) but this is a genuine Grotnik Software disk and in 5.25" disk format. Also on the disk are 2 other Grotnik games, FLIP and GROTNIK WARS. We also have the Bunyip Adventure Manual in the Repository as well as a step by step Walkthrough including its map, but use only if you truly get stuck.
An absorbing Australian adventure in which you must face
the challenge of the outback in search of the bunyip.
The aim is to catch the bunyip and on the way you will
encounter no end of Australian flora, fauna and folklore. Can
you catch the jumbuck by the billabong? What is the significance
of the black stump? And what was that swagman doing by the
coolibah tree? As night approaches and you boil the billy,
you hear the howl of the dingoes as the bunyip approaches.
Will you be able to catch him?
A number of brochures were also included for Bunyip Adventure ranging from a 1 page A4 and a 2 page A4 & A5. There was also a single page doc explaining the problems of playing the adventure with a colour monitor and that they had fixed the problem, dated Jan 1985. This version doesn't have the problem using a colour monitor so can assume it's the fixed version.
So in the MbeeTech Repository in the Microbee/Software/Games folder we placed
bunyip_adventure_ds40.dsk
bunyip_adventure_brochure.pdf <-- in Microbee\Documentation\Brochures folder
bunyip_adventure_brochure_A5.pdf
bunyip_adventure_brochure_v2.pdf
bunyip_adventure_io_improvement.pdf <-- in Microbee\Documentation\Articles folder
bunyip_adventure.jpg <-- in Microbee\Documentation\Pictures\Disks\5.25_inch folder
