From my recent purchase of Microbee material there was an original disk of FLASHPRINT Release J. The disk was a standard Microbee 5.25" DS40 disk that is NOT auto-booting and has no copy protection. The disk imaged 100% error free on a Floppyio.
Flashprint is used with Wordstar versions 2.26, 3.0 or 3.3 where it can generate bit-image patterns on dot matrix printers or turn various printing functions on and off. To do this FLASHPRINT reserves the @ character as a special prefix to its commands. For example, @U can tell it to start underlining. You must copy FLASHPRINT files onto a disk containing Wordstar and your operating system.
Flashprint was written by Jim Tucker and this is release J, dated October 1985. Released by JRT Software in Australia and Flashlite Software in USA. Flashprint was available not only for CP/M but MS-DOS also. Some of the simple graphics you can include and print from Wordstar are -
We currently have Flashprint disk in the Repository, but that is an earlier Release H dated February 1985. We also have the manual and is specific for this Release J, so worthwhile grabbing it also to understand it operation. Also read the UPDATE.DOC file on the disk to see the latest updates to this version.
So in the MbeeTech Repository in the Microbee\Software\Applications folder we placed
flashprint_release_j_ds40.dsk
flashprint_release_j.jpg <-- in Documentation\Pictures\Disks\5.25_inch folder
