Thanks to MbeeTech for making this original tape available to be archived. Recorded at 44.1kHz stereo and saved as a 16bit WAV file. The tape is 26min long and contains 9 programs.
AUSBUG (the Australian Microbee User Group in Sydney) produced a Microbee Demonstration Tape available free of charge to each member of the club.
They produced 100's of them and from their AUSBUG Newsletter Vol1 No1 (in Public\Newsletters\Ausbug folder) -
The programs on our demonstration tape have been selected to
show the qualities of the Microbee. Feel free to tinker with them.
Garry Smith has already written a modification to "Bomber Raid".
Included are the program modifications that will make the game
"Bomber Raid" a little more exciting.
The tape was recorded as one large file, then each of the 9 programs separated out individually, run through a Noise reduction filter and finally saved as an 8bit mono WAV file. These all have been tested in ubee512 setup as a PC85 to load error free. They were also saved out as a BASIC MWB file. So in the zip file there is both these WAV files as well their MWB file. I've kept the MWB files with long file names for better identification but all need their name to be shortened to 8 letters long max to load into the emulator. I have also produced a disk version that includes the 9 programs for those that have floppy drives or Gotek's.
The scan of the tape insert & disk label replaces the current copy in the repository, as it is now complete.
So in the MbeeTech Repository in the Microbee\Software\Tapes folder we placed -
ausbug_demonstration_tape.zip - that contains
1-ausbug_intro.mwb
1-ausbug_intro.wav
2-ausbug_5games.mwb
