Chickenman suggested that I make this post for the general interest of the Microbee forum visitors.
I forced myself to pen the following tutorial as a prerequisite to two other retro-computing tutorials that I just finished up which reference MAME on the Sorcerer.
How to Set up the MAME Emulator for the Exidy Sorcerer Running Dreamdisk CP/M 2.2
https://github.com/rcl9/How-to-Set-Up-th...amdisk-CPM
My tutorial also explains my method of automatically generating a .mfi disk image from a directory of PC file, including some info about how to get those files back to a PC from the CP/M disk image. The latter part provides some info about using MAME with the Exidy (Micropolis) Floppy Disk System.
In February I had reached out to Milan Hudecek as a means to connect up with Richard Collett, Mike Thompson or Rick Millicer who had worked on this Dreamdisk CBIOS for the Sorcerer. The source code implies that there was a CP/M 3 port in 1987 which interested me given that there is no command line recall in CP/M 2.2. However, Rick never did respond to me after getting my indirect message via Milan.
