Are you using the BCD dial to dynamically switch the ROMs?  Or does the Bee need to be powered down between dials?

It's not dynamic, and I prefer to power down, but you should be able to change the ROM then reset. 

Medium term, I'll order one of these: https://au.mouser.com/ProductDetail/Apem...BuOw%3D%3D as that'll give me the full 16 positions.
