Hi Wardok and welcome to the forum

Once you get access as Ernest has suggested, go to MBeeTech/Microbee/Software/ROMs/ and grab the 2 roms in the Emulator Roms folder and then in the BOOT folder grab the BN56 and BN60 roms. Then from the PROMS folder, grab the BIN file out of pal_silver_256tc_8bit.zip Put them all in the MAME/ROM folder and that should get you going as a Microbee Premium 128k. Then you can load in just about any of the disk (*.DSK) files, like ARCADE_1_SS80.DSK, for example.

To run mame from the command line:

mame mbee128p -floppydisk1 PeggedBEE.dsk

I use the following command line, to keep the window small and the aspect ratio matching the monitor:

mame mbee128p -volume -10 -window -nounevenstretch -nofilter -nomaximize -skip_gameinfo -resolution 512x512 -intscalex 1 -intscaley 2 -floppydisk1 PeggedBEE.dsk

Press the Insert key to enable mame hotkeys, and hold page down to speed up emulation (good for skipping disk booting).

Sincere thanks ChickenMan, and others, for all your help thus far. With the roms etc now in the correct folder, I get this error message:

silver.u39 NOT FOUND (tried in mbee 128p mbee)
charrom.bin NOT FOUND (tried in mbee 128 mbee)

i can confirm the following:
-bn60.com is in the MAME/ROM folder as specified.
-I ran a few searches, and there's no "charrom.bin" or "silver.u39" anywhere in the MameUI file structure...

It seems to be looking for a directory called mbee128p that doesn't exist? Hmmm... I guess this is too far advanced for me.

In the ROM folder make a mbee128p folder and put the roms in there. Also, rename the bn60 file to bn60.rom (not COM) and the pal_silver_256tc_8bit file to silver.u39, thats how I have mine setup. When it starts it will at some point come up a large red windows saying that it does work, just press any key and it will boot the disk you have entered in the Floppy Disk 1 spot.

Has anyone got it going on the MiSTer FPGA or Raspberry Pi?

Be great to have on the Mister one day. So many machines on there that had lower production numbers than the Bee.

Hi, I recognise that this is a very old thread, but I spent hours today trying to get an emulator running with no luck.

I have MAMEUI going, no problems. I guess my issue is, I can't find ROMS for any of the microbee machines, anywhere.
So it doesn't matter which emulator environment I download, I'm screwed! because the ROM folder is always empty.
So my question is: Where can I actually find ROMS for a couple of different Microbee machines?   Not games or applications.... just the actual emulated machines?

This may or may not help.  I'm using an old copy of MESS (v1.49) and the 32k runs fine & dandy with the rom files in mbee.zip.  Plonk this file into the rom directory. Mess will read directly from the zip file.  I got sick of loosing the roms myself.
